Balmain Townhouses were designed down to the millimetre to accommodate competing fire regulation and separation, amenity and utility requirements. In return, such constraints resulted in a series of dynamic spatial experiences that direct (movement), expand and contract in different shapes and forms.

OVERVIEW
A multi-residential development on only two-thirds of a 270 sqm urban infill site, Balmain Townhouses provokes memories of the neighbourhood's working-class and industrial past. The three townhouses feel bright, airy and emotionally connected. They also provide a useful template for other small-scale developments on tiny urban infill sites.
